- This brief gives you an introduction to the upcoming Select release. All features are subject to change upon release.
Data source management
Select users who have Data Source Management permission will now be able to define what data sources are attached to each study within their accounts and rank those data sources in a preferred order.
Users with Data Source Management permissions will be able to use a new disambiguation match resolution feature to review and merge records Select identifies as potential matches within an account’s private data sources. The disambiguation feature surfaces these potential matches that require human intervention to resolve. An identified match will display as a merged record within Select on the master list site grid.
Data import mapping
Select data import mapping will now support mapping to string array fields and will recognize and parse incoming data received as a single string or as an array.
Investigator site profile and scorecard
We're making significant updates to the investigator site profile and scorecard content to better reflect information included in composite and multi-cardinal data sources. We're also introducing a new Regulatory actions tab where users can review action date, type, and description if this data is available for the investigator.
Reasons for site decline
Administrators will have the ability to manage a list of reasons for declining sites, and optionally make reason selection a requirement. Feasibility specialists will be able to specify reason(s) for removing sites from consideration for a study and the reason(s) are recorded in the Site notes. With these updates, we will also add the Notes column to the site grid in the Finalize step to simplify access to final acceptance and final decline reasons and site feasibility notes.
Single sign-on (SSO)
Select introduces IDP-initiated single sign-on (SSO) functionality. With the 18.3 release, an integration can be implemented that allows users direct access to Select through a customer-provided identity provider (IDP) application, such as an employee portal.
Master list and scoring
We're making significant improvements to site and investigator scoring performance. After setting study parameters, the master list will populate with the filtered list of sites without being delayed by scoring activity. While scoring is underway, users will view a progress spinner above the site grid; when scoring is complete, Select displays a notification above the site grid as well as a button to refresh the site grid.
Email status icons
We're adding email status icons to the "Manage users and roles" page to clarify the current state of invitation, account unlock, and other emails sent to users. Unique icons now display for sent, deferred, dropped, opened, and clicked email status.
